The Kiss

Beneath the stars bathed in moonlight they stood together so close together never before closer than this close enough to touch.
He reached to touch to lay a hand upon her skin to feel its warmth it's silkiness and she felt a surge within an excitement inside that made her feel alive.

Little child at my bedside be still.

The hands in the dark will be gone in the light.

It’s inevitable for you it just came sooner.

Close your little eyes and let sleep take you.

Ladyfingers soft and sweet.

                        ..

Once I was an Olympic swimmer

Until someone’s car robbed my feet

Now I’m carried to shallow water

Struggling to tread in this pool

I can fly along the coastlines
of language and learn to speak
enough Spanish Mandarin and Swahili
to make strangers laugh

I can soar on the feathers of words
boastful and humble and decorated
as a war veteran never having been to war

I awoke in the heat
of a blue down feathered
and pleated cocoon
sweating from the incubation
of lucid dreams and creative fire.
I awoke with a full and lusting urge
as primal as the way a woman
feels when she nurses a baby –

How can one find what what was intentionally lost?
can it be deserved?

run away and stay behind
cannot stand another time
push me to the edge of nothing
send me on my way
there is no question where im heading
the road is full of tears and shame
agony and guilt are my

in my head before my feet hit the ground
a smile of expectation
warmth over powering my soul
a touch and tender kiss
feelings of solitude washed away
washed away by being needed wanted
oh how dark this world would be without you
how lonely this world would be without us
I can hold

Show me what you want
Don't tell me
Show me how you feel
Don't tell me
Actions will always prove whats in your heart
words will only give false hope
You know what I know
We are destined for something great
If not we will perish in our efforts

Please Don't be cold

This incessant void
its a black hole
nothing will fill it
time is a myth and does not heal

struggle is the habit
tossed around in a crowd of thousands
feeling lost and all alone
you want to love you want to heal

owning no more tears to cry
you are a desert

Heavy is this head that wears the crown of pain and guilt
cold hands grip the two edged sword of disdain
forever destined to life and will of shame and sick
relish in thoughts of the inevitable end that seems an eternity away
body and mind quivering alike
dark eyes show no mercy

The Call.

You look into the mirror
You look real hard
You wonder if you should ask the question
You are so unsure.
You see what is on the surface
But you want to see within
You want to see the monster
That waits for the nighttime to
