Down…down…spinning

And plummeting

Down

Into this strangely familiar place.

Nothing is as it should be.

It’s all here.

every last word.

for some twisted reason it will not speak.

Nothing will come. Something is missing

 maybe even wrong but

nothing is unleashed

the Angels Cry Down

The world is ending
The fire rains down
Burning our dreams
Destroying our town
People are screaming
And gasping for breath
Reaching for something
But nothing is left.

Your family will vanish
And your friends disappear
Leaving you hopeless
Enveloped in fear
The angels cry down
To the misguided earth
Stories of vengeance
And worldwide

Why is it that whenever you fall hopelessly in love with someone
you suddenly and awkwardly desire to travel with them?

The reels move forward
And there you are.

Walking through central park.
A sack of half finished peanut shells hangs limply in your right hand.
cracking them with your teeth.
Together.

His knuckles are bruised
from swinging at anything that moves
and he can’t see what’s left behind
in the cages of his tormented mind
but from here I can see
everything he can be
everything he means to me
He’s back in the ropes twisting to shame

I Won't

I so much want to give in to surrender to forgiveness to love

But I won't

Maybe because I am happy being miserable

Possibly because I am stubborn

Probably because I would rather be moderately sad

Instead of having my heart ripped out smashed and stomped on

Torn to

I gave you my life

Birthed you a child

Surrendered my freedom

Stomped out all my dreams

Wrote off my youth

Said goodbye to old flames

Tried to think how you think

To do as you wish

Married forever

Until one of us dies

Run away

Is the best advice I can give you. Yes use the training that occupies the space in your mind where your childhood should be. Don't breathe too deep you'll burn out fast. I'll get at you when you pass out on the grass.

A bottle of Jack Daniels tips bursting forth onto the floor Into a sea of blood like oil in the gulf. what is this I wonder?

A hand lies motionless atop

an ever-so-common combination

Of fluids floating like a

Pushing deeper into the corners
of the wall I’m in
and never sure of all the men
with smiles of hope and tears of fear
who can’t stand to gaze
into their broken down mirrors
of parted pasts when weeks
start to go by too fast
time spent alone is time that wont last

All I've picked up in these last few years
The shards of wisdom fitting crooked together
Every fiber of my natural existence convulsing
Specific antidotes to its relevant ailment
And the rushing blue veins bleeding blackened warnings
Speak clearly in a strangled plea--stop.  Stop!

I would take my chances on love
                                    with you
Although you’re through taking chances
I would give my whole heart for good
                                    To you
However far away yours beats from me
I would forever settle my life
                                    To have you
Although I fear you can’t love me fully
            I would…
