It was just time for it
and the feet had their way
so I did it without a thought
and with a thousand new thoughts
wandered away.

I walked away just like that
and I returned again walking
stopping just beside you
at sunset.

Sea spray wets his lips
where he plays in the coves
at the base of the cliffs
curls his hair to a darker hue
as he spills
pale green stones
from inattentive hands
to lay in shallow pools
and turn his eyes to stormy skies.

I’m a dreamer. Not in the sense of daydreamer or some one whose thoughts are proverbially in the clouds but in the literal sense.

We all have dreams when we sleep or we should have. If you don’t meaning you haven’t reached REM sleep a number of difficulties can result. Even if you

It has become palpable in the air that we breathe

A worldwide transformation

As evident as earthquakes and revolutions

She says that she loves me “So much.”

She says that when she thinks of me being upset

Her heart is stabbed every time.

She says she sees it in my voice and that she feels it too.

She tries to hold my hand.

I tell her the relationship is killing us.

He thought of love as investment.

Resources committed.

Profit to be claimed.

He only rarely took

his interest in pleasure

“That’s how you lose your head ”

he would say.

“And your shirt.”

One day

he tucked her sanity

I am neither

too hot nor too cold

I am lukewarm

consumed by an eternal flame

Both night and day

I quench my thirst

through written words

Down on paper on the page

I can make mistakes

I was am

a reserved child

Displaying tranquility

yet solitary

trying to find a true

Tick

       Tick

           Tick

the clock face
of rhythmic life

all is well today
and tomorrow

            Tick

       Tick

Tick

digital clocks clinical
zeros and ones DNA
efficient replication
occasional defects

What’s so great about new romances?

Is it the unknown mystery of another?

A tall mountain too high to see the top-

So you climb until you are bone tired

So lethargic you don’t

I saw you stripping your body complex but smooth and I watched as you moved in glorious and eternal sexual enticement and I felt the act meant love but I still don’t know why. You moved to a delicious beat four/four timing and a slow inhale and sighing.  You do it anyway and I thank
