Be careful who you give you heart to

Make sure they know its true value

When your heart rules your head

And feelings are running deep

The highs and lows of love

One minute your heart is aching

Full of love, then its hurting from the pain

And you feel you never want to be

In love again

Never want to feel the pain

The man without a shadow

he tries to forget

he may have his victory

but the war rages on

hes losing all knowledge

through the rain a tear drops

shoeless he walks for miles

like a raging storm he never stops

with every whimper, wish and whisper

he still walks alone, with out a shadow.

I know what they say!

How shall she consume these days, on top of your touch of grey

Your soul tarnished nearer fading light and fast approaching night

But oh so very right this our hearts housed in loves beautiful light

And although stiff you’re standing walk and smile as gentle as we talk

In walk of youth my love has come un-caged and knows no other age

My stomach feels full of itself,
Swollen from panty line to breast line,
Hot the sun burns my skin,
   Icy the rain.

Dissolving me like minty gum.

The sun rounds up the dark

And levers up the morning sky

Soft sounds penetrate the ground

Clarity marries and then you find

Priceless paintings on transparent eyes

.

All you pen heads gather round

Drop the garments you have found

Show the world what you’ll wear

Bare yourself among your peers

Digging down into that underground

Do not feel

What you believe

Happiness flowing one way

My heart  is empty

Still breathing

But not living life

Weight of unhappiness

Weighs heavier  everyday

Time ticking by

Running out

A sick taste settles in the back of my throat,

   Pronouncing itself like bitter mucus,

And my heart aches,

   A dull throbbing hurt.

Boom-boom.

Boom-boom.

Life hangs in the air a fragile balance,

   Between remembrance and mortality,

The push of the tide coming in,

The inevitability of it pulling back out,

Its seems all anyone ever does lately is talk

And still says nothing at all

Like a great glossy ad pitch

And not the real stuff

No instead its pseudo-swag

Or regurgitated intellect

Behind fans of throwing shade

All trying to bolster a delapidated ego

Doesn't anyone ever mean what they say

Or even say what they mean anymore?

I don’t belong here

Here by default

Ancestors stolen

Free will taken

My  true destiny

Has been changed

History rearranged

Concrete jungle

My heart  yearns for escape

Hills and valleys

Our bodies may have been set free

But our minds are still in captivity

Educated by a corrupted system

True black history should

Be in our children’s  curriculum

We have to educate our children with the truth at home

Then the systems words can not take hold

We as black people need to understand we are all African

Stripped of our true identity

Kidnapped and placed on negative land

DO YOU KNOW

What makes you think you have the right

To end a life

You think you higher than the most high

Only he can decide who lives or die

You never give it so how can you take it

Value of life lost

Wasting your own life with your

wrong doings

You think there is not a price

To pay for your wrongful ways

So young and full of hate
