Words, as we all know, carry a certain power. They affective and have a certain effect on all of us. No matter how we strain to deny, it only goes to proof it is evidently so. Take the word "beautiful" for example. It says "pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically." And I go on to find out that "pretty" means "of a person, especially a woman or child) attractive in a delicate way without being truly beautiful." How obscure. "Attractive", on the other hand, means "pleasing or appealing to the senses." I have always questioned the choice of words as I am absolutely mindful of what it conjours. And yet these subtleties can paint a very difficult picture should one use these terms losely. Sometimes it is a matter of choice. At times, a case of utter opinion, ignorance or mere confusion. There are those who find such thoughts on the topic far out. For discourse sake, I am convinced it is essential.

This world is a far better place because people like me bother to ask the most absurd of absurdities and you can say I get enthused and at the same time get bemused alongside my own inquiries. Needless to say, I am dying to make conversations out of nothing, right? I leave that to you. Back to the topic on word-power. It is with certainty that we need to make a definite attempt to exercise care with what we want to say, how we say it, when, with intention as it involves tone; so that what needs to happen will follow suit and that all ambiguity is avoided. For those who care not, they will resolutely be up against forces raked by careless efforts. Hopefully no recompenses would happen. Perhaps lesser fights, upheavals and catastrophies too. One prays that our leaders use words they mean and not be careless about this. For words are easy said but hard to retract. In this day and age, "sorries" seem to come by in many forms. Celebrities with axes to grind get away with unforgivable crimes. They seem to have mastered the art of manipulating the internet systems by throwing in their spanners in the works and causing contentious debates. As there are those who get wedged in the worldwide web and its intricate traps, they become the inevitable sacrifice of scandals and treacherous alliances. And for the longest time, the beauty in one's utterances can launch or sink a thousand ships. Behold! We shall speak with care and love, and the truth...so help us God.

The linguistically marginalized have not a voice. It is such a tragedy. Education is the tunnelled pathway for many to tolerate subordination, subservience. Interestingly enough, that has been wool pulled over our minds! Today, the wicked stand as such. The authoritarian reigns on high and sh** is all over the place. What with being educated? Words have had their way about our VERY lies, not just lives. Seriously. Are we not subjected to and bounded, and kept within absolute perimeters in so-called communities of sorts? No? There is no conclusion nor absolution here. Just a probe to spark learning converations.
