Alex – Jacob’s father and ex Marine big and bulky eager to love his wife and son eager to live
Jacob – Wants to be in the wild but can’t because of trouble with school. Loves the jungle,
Potter – Alex long lost daughter who becomes a psychologist and missionary. Smart, cynical
Lelette – Under a great spell from her mother. A lover.
Air Support – Alex’s second wife. Real name is Ruth. Quirky, realist
Jesus – Lord of the Universe. Compassionate
Ms. Gracy – Missionary to the wild
Ms. Katherine- Missionary to the wild
Joshua – Potter’s husband
Leah – Alex’s first wife
Miriam – A neighbor
Nurse 1 – a nurse to the mental hospital
Nurse 2 – another nurse to the mental hospital
ER doctor – doctor in the main hospital

Alex
These pictures are nice.
Ruth
I had fun.
Alex
Is that your father?
Ruth
That’s him.
Alex
What did he do?
Ruth
He gave great hugs. He was a whale hunter. What’s up? I can see all kinds of registering going on up there.
Alex
Is he still alive?
Ruth
No, he died five years ago due to legions in his brain.
Alex
I’ve never seen eyes like that
Ruth
He’s like that. Passionate about lots of things. I can remember he would tell me many stories about the waters.
Alex
I’ve seen the waters, but I never cared like that.
Ruth
That’s nothing. Jesus called him from the seas and he completely changed. He was there for everything. He was also a strong activist against killing whales. He was a great father for me and my sisters.
Alex
That’s what I want to be. That’s the kind of family I want.
