Boughs teetered dreamily on the rustling windy dawn preceded
By a seething rainstorm gushing the prospects with gallons of water,
Altering meagre walkways into quagmire a sore sight embellished
By the squalor of my alcove the only lee here which looks ruggard.
A lightening once teared a giraffe tree transcending it to wood fire.
A serpentine once slithered out the gate while I was coming in.
Grandpa's hound was shot dead on the yard by a neighbour whose
Snarling angst soared relations making forgiveness a hard bargain.
A needling prick is the woeful unrelenting memory of misdeeds
Perpetrated by grandpa's throughout his archaic lifetime tormenting
Senile grandma, ousting dad from home denying him the victuals
Then chasing my bro out of his home too for being rebellious.
Shall his murky spirit rest in peace and let go of the vile heart
For we have long forgiven him and his rueful temperament.
