I want to be a coral reef gardner

Growing the flowers of the sea

Mending boneyards in the wild pacific

You know... I'd even work for free.

It wouldn't take much to keep me happy

Just a pereo and a bikini

A little shelter for when it gets cold,

Maybe some sweats and a beanie.

I could live with the local people,

Grow and catch my own food,

Be a contribution to society,

   Striving for what's good.

The waves would be my best friends,

Swishing around my ankles on the beach,

Respect for the ocean and it's creatures,

This is what I would want to preach.

Swimming to the ebb and flow,

   Dictated by the moon,

Going into the sea for me,

Is like returning to the womb.

It reaches into the depths of my soul,

   Showing me my insignifigance,

I am just a speck of dust,

   Floating in it's magnificence.

I want to be a coral reef gardner,

Growing the flowers of the sea,

Just so I can be a part of her,

And she a part of me.
