Today I have some really terrible news;
and you may take it anyway you choose.
I want to say – “I’m no longer in love with you”;
because you stopped the loving things you used to do.
I know I still care and will always cherish you in my heart;
but as of now I think we really should and need to be apart.
This isn’t easy to say, nor is it easy for you to hear;
But I would rather be honest and have my conscience clear.
