Dorothy

Today I found a few polaroids from the week I met Dorothy. In one she stares out past the camera like a fish from it’s bowl: glubbing cool and stunned. Light and time have washed out the film, transforming it into a screen of maybe five or six real colors.

A Choice

It 's a few minutes after eight o clock.  Peter has just slipped through the alley side door of Stephen Clifford Carroll’s condominium.  Carroll had given Peter a key so he could come and go as the needs of their project required.  Tonight Carroll will review Peter’s new drawings for next month’s city council presentation.

"Hey Rich? Ya see that new bull they brought in yesterday?" The young man's face was a sun-darkened brown. Worry lines created deep furrows undeserving of a man his age. He leaned apprehensively on the red-piped corral and listened.
