She’s waiting there for you isn’t she at the top of the jetty hill far above the crest of the waves in that canyon you first catalyzed your feeling for each other but you won’t go to her will you because it would mean that you love her more than she loves you,
and you just can’t bring yourself to show anyone this weakness that overwhelms your protective heart, you can’t let her know that all of her lives live within you. The way she makes your eyes welt up when she crushes your finger and your heart at the movies, the way her scent alone can cause your heart to plummet down the stairs of love, and that shinning earthy and salty smell that has attached itself to each strand of her glorious luster of lochs, most of all the way she always catches you staring at her with that unselfish smile of yours as if you have been mesmerized by your future. Yet you know you should hurry before the heavy winds of those high hill top winds curl around her picking her up into the large empty space between water and earth and you lose her forever. You should rush quickly and not dare hesitate for that split second in which you could have saved her, are you her superman or not, will you fly to her before she makes that leap of faith off the mountain and into the cold stiff surf below…. Hurry now before an irreplaceable love is lost to the outstretched never ending arms of fizzling waves that are waiting below her, before her sun gleams for the last time in her watering eyes only to prove to you her love is never ending. Fly, fly now to the top and stop this nonsense, grab her hand and hold her tight, let her know you love her more than earth, more than your own birth, more than anything you have ever even hoped to know before, but wait look up there in the sky is that her plummeting to earth! It is. It’s her, her sleek and slender frame bent backwards slightly arching, as it travels like a bullet through the air and into the ocean below. You feel yourself holding your breath so tight as if it were her breath you were holding as she harpoons into the slicing cold waves below from one hundred foot above. You wait in disbelief staring at the point on contact where you may have just lost her, the love of your life. But then you spot her body floating and you finally exhale as she reappears above the confused waters of the canyon. Yes! There she is and you ask yourself like so many times before, how could you have ever let yourself fallen in love with this high diving maniac from Mexico. She waves up at you knowing you would come no matter what- Because she knows you have fallen off the deep end for her.
