Here and there across the ground
underfoot old and new white and brown.
Was it sudden? Was it pain?
Flutter and fly they pass without a thought.
Colors on the wind all are transfixed.
Beauty in this death to lessen the hurt.
A balance that's made in the sky and the dirt.
