So many thoughts
So many fears
It's like a leach is sucking
on my faith, bringing me to
my knees, spewing a river of
tears

Wise woman once whispered upon my ears,  "we are neither saints, nor are we angels"
That whisper resounded, as if n'er had a truer tellin passed lips that spoke only honesty

The stars of the dying night cry out,
To the one rising;
And knowing the end to their life no doubt,
They fade, compromising.

I sit and I wonder

How many more will leave me

How many more will decide

That I am not worth it

That I do not belong

I sit and I wonder

How many more can believe

That within me

Is something worth destroying

Something vile

In the beginning of time
We sought out a rhyme that would make things begin to shine
Each of us has been given a real talent to discover
We all must look within deep inside
Love is a funny thing you know

A fledgling coos into a curious current of air;
a zephyr of indefinite origin: placid,
though as dense as stale breath.
With sprouted feathers slightly ruffled;
lamenting of a summer wind
a bespeckled, barely-out-of-the-egg
bird coughs at the earth,
flutters with metered sonation
as a gliding burnt-grass-brown moth
catches the brood’s monophyletic gawk and gape,
though just for second: an ephemeral needle-prick in space-time
it catches the brood’s eye.
With youth, sporadic anticipation, and a wing-flap sonata
of naïveté; the bird hops for a measure,
stops to peck at some unknown ort in the grass
then disappears in awkward flight over the outstretched
and reaching arms of a hundred groaning trees.

I would bend down on my knees,
And pray for better days.
So I asked God to please,
Forgive me for my stubborn ways.

When in Spring with leaves turned to green

Eyes, hands & face

There lived one man with a thirst

To live in the moment between space & time

Selling his pots and pans to get by

To the late night watcher of a double feature
Each of us is responsible to a holy God
We can either receive or reject
I bet your sorry that we met
