I slumped beneath an ancient oak tree
And hissed about the
previous day
When on the branch beside me stood a striking blue jay
With grace and poise she puffed her chest
And like an Angel, sang
A blissful tune
I gleefully admired the uninvited guest
As she sparked my melancholy afternoon
And all the withered leaves above me
Livened in such a miraculous way
Conveying my heart prodigious zest
I found harmony and rest in a blue Jay's tune
