I hear gentle raindrops fall outside
in the dark of the night
i take a step out and look up to meet the drops
and everything feels just right
the stillness, the calm, the sound of crickets
and frogs and the moonlight shining down
The twinkling stars like diamonds fall
creating on my head a starlight crown
The air is fresh
and i take a deep breath
and wonder at the beauty i behold
i feel so blessed and inspired and in awe
as angel wings around me enfold
the lavender fragrance fills the air
making me so aware
of the beauty and magic
we often take no notice of -
no notice at all
and still the gentle raindrops fall
