At the end of the road,
Pavement expires,
Sand begins.
Sea breezes spray,
Children run,
Seagulls play,
Fish get caught,
By serious men.
Books get read,
And castles built,
While footprints fade,
At the end of the road.
At the end of the road,
Troubles suspend,
Smiles replace frowns,
For an entire day.
Laughter rules,
Sunscreen applied.
Lunches consumed,
While gossip is weighed.
Sand dunes rise,
To meet the skies,
At the end of the road.
At the end of the road,
Quiet calms,
Runners breathe,
Banners fly.
Lovers dream,
Porpoise wave,
Sunshine feeds,
Clouds gently move,
Boats troll along,
Never questioning why,
For life is good,
At the end of the road.
