Time grows dark and narrow,

Tunneling,

As life grows steady around us,

Blossoming abundantly,

A vastness of sky is open above us,

Bright and free,

But all the while it shifts ever so slightly,

Enough,

It shifts just enough,

To tilt the axis of life as we know it,

Sending you this way,

And me that,

Choice is no choice at all,

Rather,

We have been chosen by obligation,

To be.

Whole entities,

Vacuumed dust,

Swept up,

Into the universe.
