Sun shining through my window
Wake up with a smile
As my mind clears
From the fog of sleep
Reality returns
The sun shine turns to rain
And the pain in my heart
Surfaces again
Empty cold space next to me
Was once warm with love
Angry words said in the heat
Repented alone
Has to much been said
To take back
The angry words
Go around in my head
The rain drips down the window
The tears flow from my eyes
Reality hits
He is not here
Memory of the door slamming
Mirrors the pounding in my head
The hurt in his eyes
As he packs his bags
I fight the urge to cry
To much pride to take back
My words
To stubborn to beg him
To stay
Why is sorry so hard to say
