You’re dizzy and drunk
falling all over the place.
Your makeup is smeared
all over your face.
You stumble as you walk
and mumble while you fall.
How much did you drink?
Do you remember at all?
You mutter, “bathroom,”
as you get up and run away.
What made you drink
so much today?
Your head falls into the toilet
as you vomit up the booze.
Obviously your better judgment
you did not use.
You suddenly get up
from your spot on the bathroom floor.
You try to speak
and go out the bathroom door.
You ask where you are
and how you got there.
You’ve drank too much
and given me a scare.
My mother looks at me and says,
“You better not ever do this.”
So now how can I ever
look up to you, My Big Sis?
Tomorrow you’ll wake up
And not remember much,
But because of you,
alcohol I will never touch.
