To Wed Or Not To Wed.
Within this day and age,
When living in sin is all the rage,
I ask myself a question,
That flies in the face of tradition,
Why take the time to get married?
Why get wed?
For promises unbroken,
Are vows we have spoken,
And it was then that I said,
That I would love you till death,
So that question remains,
Of why we should wed?
But as we stand here now,
Before our friends and family,
I see it in your eyes,
As you look back at me,
There is a reason to be here,
A reason to marry,
And with promises anew,
And a declaration or two,
And with you as my husband,
And I as your wife,
We offer ourselves,
And promise our lives.
