A stranger’s heart beats in the dark
Down the lane his tears in vain
Through the night I ask his name
Remember his face time again

Strangers’ eyes you cannot find
In the midst of unspoken words
What was left unsaid a deceiving disguise
Another unknown figure in the hands of time

Step out of my shadow and into the light
A still face frozen by the chill of winter’s embrace
Aware of impending danger in this place
From fearing clouds and wary heights
Snow fell

Give in to deadly mystery
And fear, as strange steps draw near
Sleepless tonight we dare not dream
In the snow, even the footprints I see

Are cloaked beneath the haven of this city
