Once I spent the night in a ranch
It was a real good time
The booze was so tasty too
There was no tree or branch in sight
I was in the dessert
I would have to deem the site deserted
Now now this ranch
Well there wasn’t too many men

The dessert ranch is a good place to be
A place with no rules
Its helping my health every now and then
I work the week in the city

Well I found this palace of dreams
I was driving down a long straight road
I was full of stress and malice
There had been drink and drugs
That was just back there, my previous stop
I came up to and stopped at the ranch
I was coaxed by my girls
All the dreams, pleasure and frivolities
I gave all my issues the drop
I concentrated all my energy on nothing
They said we are having a party
I said how long for
They said id want to stay when I get in their door
