Grey skies reach a mist float over
A hero that dies another one to the list
The crying enemies the skreech
“we win we are the champions”
While others pull the arrow from the heros eye
He can look to sky but will only see a blur
He has a heart no more
Rain looks still as it lashes down
As they watch allies fall to the ground
Looking to the hero they see a broken man
He raises his sword in defiance
Points it to the lord
He charges the enemy, other men
Who hear his cry
We are not scared they lie
On this fateful day
Glistening rain in grey
on this day we fight
On this day the hero doesn’t die
He may falter on the way
But the pain drives him
on this day the hero doesn’t die
He will cry to glory and live long to tell his story
The hero doesn’t die
Could the Hero Die? Really!
