Un-Lucky Strike:
I love you your body so perfectly bound
Your neck burns feverishly between my lips like ambers aglow
My breath as your heart so warm lights white snow.
Speak gentle wars years which matches all of your deadly power
It’s true that you’ve cheated more hearts with the petals of your flowers.
Yet I need you as a mother, son, as a father,
I’ve chosen you as my fate, my wind, my lover
Blowing out the light; the night stands still,
One more child is snuffed, by the smoke
stack slaughter, of the tobacco mill.
I sit, eyes searching on the edge of this earth,
Thinking of you, and the beauty of my birth
Vegetation that springs life from this ground,
Soon shall take my life, fertilizing me down
Finally not near, not around, the tobacco field.
