Time walks on
waiting
Bodies to catch up
to brains
The mind traveling –
old age and back again
No sensitivity to
the owner
And yet…
Still…
I’ve seen myself by Time
lost baby selfish wants
a child to play
an old woman in bed
a teenager popping pimples
myself…
Catching up to
my own body
never took so long
And yet…
Still….
I continue to travel with Time
Memories, plans, present troubles
no interruption to Time’s steady plod
Time does not notice me
though I keep pace
I cannot stop Time
I cannot plead with Time
I cannot race Time
And yet…
Still…
