Luscious green swells all about me,
Forming itself into close cut grass,
Elegant radiating jade,
Bushes that seem to breathe,
Deep soil green,
The color of my eyes,
Massive banyan trees sway low,
Threatening to grab you up and roll you into their branches,
Up, up, up, into the towering canopies,
Breadfruit, mango, and calamansi trees,
Drop swollen green fruit onto the ground,
Deep, sweet, rich, ferment,
Flapping palms sweep the sky,
With emerald fingers,
Tickling the clouds,
Bursts of color light the day,
Pow! Smiles the wicked red and yellow hibiscus’,
Pretty and full of beauty,
Stop and smell me,
Taunt the crowds of pink plumeria,
Enticing anyone who comes within visions sight,
Purple, violet, bleeding heart blossoms,
Just tinged with oxygen,
Display their hemorrhaging all along the green manifesto,
Petals virgin white,
Sneak from the red clay dirt,
Winking deviously from the volcanic earth,
Walkways, freeways, driveways,
All lined with the grandious landscape,
Smile knowingly with hills and turns,
Flowing, unbroken,
From the sandy beaches to the dirt jungle roads,
All heavenly blessed,
Candidly inspired,
The sky blazes pink, purple, orange, and red in reflection,
Magenta sanctifications light the atmosphere,
And the sun kisses the green sea,
While the foliage sighs goodnight,
Nurturing it’s splendor for tomorrow.
