Roll Roll

Down thundering canyon

Grass dust

Billow behind in rotund clouds

Swarming in tempestuous society

Gathering for a brief moment

only to sigh a heaving separation

and radiate towards unknown destinations

 in undulating waves of careless.

The unblinking eye steadies the path

Boldly facing the course with effort focused

on forgetting

what

must be remembered

Taking little care to throw these burdens

Into the storm behind

Which accepts them,

Cradles them into its tumbling fabric

Exalts them towards the sky and sea

to be reared by the wind.

And I, lonely butterfly,

Curiously fluttering too close

dis-corporate

A fantastic explosion of color

against an unfeeling windshield.
