shadows punching

There are very few pictures of me

This is because I avoid making friends

Avoid making friends with cameras

In that order

I march toward April

Aware that she is staring

Picturing someone else

“Where to tonight.”

She correctly connects intentions

Snips through my net

And refuses engagement

Not the first time

I see her face in the window

But somehow not her eyes

Street cars cut through her cheeks

Head lights occlusals breaklights scarlet

“Fuck this.” One of us says

While the other thinks the same

We aren’t together and we play a part

Just two shadows punching in the dark

Wow. The pace for this was just wonderful, it roped me in immediately. Impressed.
