In the heavens where they loll
Watching over chosen soul
Must they bathe in celestial glow
And ever long for what they trow
A chance to fall to life mundane
To plunge into the terra domain
Wherein lies the beauty envied
Far too long in refuse tarried
Needed now among stellae
Their indulgence not denied
Still it rests as ever done
Within the grasp of fallen son
Lasting more the withered years
Perched beyond—the astral spheres
Eternally their light has shown
To hold none to that her own
