Hazard!
Proclaims the electrical orange.
Stretched taut.
The chords begging to be pulled back
And slapped into one another.
Like her thighs used to do.
Into her flesh.
The alarming orange escalates into a bitter desperate red...
Scratched into an angry sunset.
Fingernail hieroglyphics encrypt her neck
As a last attempt for a promised sunrise.
Jelly trickles from eyeballs burst.
A hint of green clings to her shirt,
Where the windows of her soul,
Have rolled down her cheeks and into the whiteness of the cotton.
Yesterdays dinner litters her jean ankles.
And the hotness that made it's exit from her hours ago,
Had splashed into the creek below her,
Only to be washed downstream for drinking water.
A breeze blows across the creek.
Shifting her tear stained hair.
A most gentle caress.
The forgiveness she could never find for herself.
