Starting over... The past me dies while a new me is born Reborn too many times to count All in one life time Starting over... Easily said but not done The past me dies But the shadow remains Starting over... A new light a new day
With light comes darkness
With day comes night
Starting over...
Trapped with my shadow when darkness comes
Can I make it through the night?
Only time will tell, but time is not my friend
Starting over....
Nothing but words, yet powerful words
A promise of a new beginning that's easily shattered
Shattered several times and pieced back together
Starting over...
The new me is the old me
The old me is the new me
Can I start over with the past never gone?
Starting over...
The past is not forgotten, but it is gone
It is not a new beginning, but a new chance
I am the same me, but with different eyes
Starting over...
I am the old me and the new me
Now that I am whole I can walk forward
I can finally see the brightness in the world and my life
Starting over....is hope.
