A Question

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

A Question.

Tears
Falling
Her eyes
Drowning
The sparkle
Dying

She looks
She sees
She looks
At him
A question
Waiting

He reaches
He touches
He grips
He holds
A lump growing
Within the throat

They stand
They cling
They stand
Together
They could stand
Here
forever

She speaks
He listens
He speaks
She listens
She says 'Do you?'
He says 'I do'

Tears
Stopping
Her eyes
Drying
The sparkle
Brightens.
