as i recall, you were not bad at all.

being as small as they were, and just as confused-

you came, too aware of yourself-

lips tasting of starburst candy.

the shed seemed the place to lick it out-

each being 6- copying the couples on channel 6

just the gal across the street.

a monster came to you. on a huffy he stalked you.

with his backwards hat he stole you-

so I’m told. but you were 6.

i’ll remember that. without a past.

and a mouth like starburst candy.
