Lines, lines, lines

Lines are important
Lines demarcate
But often times
Lines alienate
And marginalize
In society
We see lines
Though we claim
Fairness in all games
Fair is not equal...
So it goes

I see lines everywhere
Lines in me
Lines on me
Lines once straight,
now badly crossed;
bent beyond recompense
I can hardly breathe
Yes, oh yes
I know these familiar lines
But they forsake me umpteen times

Why do I partake in drawing lines?
When I outgrew them all?
Do I see the need for lines?
Their power
We succumb to them all!
Yes?
I don't say I do

But there are lines
That we must never, ever cross
These spell disasters
And wrath
That only God has the power
To make good these invisible lines
That I never quite
Understood

Lines
What lines
are good?
Much time is needed to figure out
Before anything should take root
