A hand in doubt

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

I keep staring at the corner
Wondering where it has all gone
The sights
The sounds
The rights and all
All lumped
Everything seems so small

In her world must sit
The tiny pieces unfit
Each view so different
And yet
So new, and dull it must sometimes seem
But THAT'S on our terms
Isn't it?
Not hers

I often think about how I say
The things I say
If I HAVE at all conveyed?
To that little girl
Right there
In that little space

I try to help her climb the stairs
To see the light
But I don't always know
If this is right
To keep edging her towards this flight
Of a world of old
'Cus she maybe
A girl so scarred
By the time we see what's right
