Painted Grey

Today is the day
I say each time
I awake
Happy and gay

Much to achieve
In the pink
Walking through
The day I am in

I look up
And see the sky
Sunny, bright with
Lights, so, so high

I laugh within
Forgetting all pain
Because I have to
Start again

This is how
My day begins
Much aligned
Dipped in green

But if I say
Anything
Don't pay me attention
No

For often I scream
In a deep space
Unseen
All is painted grey within

I figure the whole meaning of this poem lies in the last paragraph.

Hi Melusi,
I don't see many postings by anyone else. So grateful, and hungry, for a line from a fellow writer! Thanks. The final stanza sums up my bottled feelings. This is one of my favourites.
Hope to read one of urs soon!
Ciao!
