The Rotten lot

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive
An archaic Zulu saw pronounces that a child
Doesn`t belong to a family but into the entire
Village, yet now westernity has somehow uprooted
Some of our norms gnawing at our moral fibre.
Harrowing set of bizarre events have stupefied us:
Reports of cannibalism to diabolic for me to fathom,
The sexual violation of girls at the school premises,
Political killings reemerging portrays factionalism.
Debilitation of etiquettes is causing this death
The socioeconomic dynamics too are at play,
Tribalism and demographs rampage this scourge
With ethnicity and ill demeanour stoking this pyre.
The rotten lot portrays a bad image of our country
A rainbow nation famed for its liberal democracy
