Little Girl

A little girl
all alone
no one to save her
no one home
He calls her name
she’s not afraid
until he played
his deadly game
Hands so rough
a body so small
no one came
when she called
Pain so vicious
torn and raw
she closed her eyes
throughout it all
a song she sang
in her head
while he violated her
then left her for dead
Her virtue gone
her body bloody
yet no one noticed
so she became
a nobody
Quiet as a mouse
she lost her voice
after all
she had no choice
He was the first
but not the last
to take the liberties
no need to ask
the little girl
who died inside
that one dark night
full of fright

This is a very well written and flowing poem, unadorned and raw. Thank you.
