Eyes

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

Eyes that see
everything
Memories that wont
let me be

Dirty secrets buried
deep
Have come to play
in my keep

Eyes that saw
way to much
A body that hates
the slightest touch

Chained to a past
I can’t let go
Abuse on playback
goes to slow

Forced to see
day and night
Things I tried so
hard to fight

Locked inside my
ugly mind
battered and bloody
nothing kind

Eyes that see what
you want me to be
My mind that knows
You’ll never see

The pain I hide
behind a smile
Begging for death
all the while

Eyes I wish to sear
and blind
Hoping for one
night with peace  of mind

Once again, your poem is simple yet potent in emotion. Very good.
