Heal his mind, quiet his heartache

His fences have been mended

He just doesn't know it

for the reality that he preceives

is what sets his tone

His dreams have taken a new form

Teach him to understand, it's part of the plan

that the bad root has been plucked out,  like a blade

It's o.k. to stay in this house that He's made

It's not incomplete, in fact it's been saved

For She no longer is the thorn

The rose is still as sweet

It's healthy and thriving and the little ones are under his feet

His dreams have taken on a new form

He just doesn't recognize her shape

Life's really turning out great

Just teach him to accept his fate

The couplet at the end wound it up nicely... It would almost be a titillating poem by itself.

Thanks, lots! Writing is titillating! Perhaps because it allows us a chance to live in any reality that we choose. ;-)
