Crack the Clouds

Crack the clouds

Draw da butter sun down

Moon has her shiny lies

Given to you and I

Waterfalls without sound

Our lines got crossed

Our love was lost

And ghost are never found

The earth and sky are left to try

To mend the trembling ground

Columbus couples

Where can we go

Into some future steam

Where warmth can cling

Where words assault

Indelible souls

Will we learn to eat

This human treat

Or starve our words

As love retreats

This feels so real

You’re beating heart

Soft clay at play

We thought ourselves smart

We laughed at its simplicity

Relying on its implicitly

How had others gone so wrong

Love seemed such a natural song

Yet here we lye dead and died

Under a bruised and beaten sky

Storms come and go

Rain clouds cover snow

Rainbows follow sun

Once again love has come

Our eyes connect the dots

Never relying on the knot

Hands made to hold

Young and wrinkled old

Love like meat when beat

Becomes tender and sweet

The ring of life

Of golden steel

Can cut like knives

Or mend and heal

I really enjoyed this The first stanza was my favorite and I think that it could be a poem in itself. Thank-you
