What a wonderfully dense poem. Have you thought about breaking it apart into pieces? Although I don't really know how practical that would be since you followed a strict "question and (interpretational) response" type structure. It's just a thought because I feel rushed while reading it, almost like I can't allow each stanza to sink in. There is so much there that I feel that maybe each thought isn't being given its true place to be seen and felt. That could just be my Internet induced attention deficit, but it is refreshing to see so much effort and thought put into one piece. Great work!

I generally just go with the flow. In this piece I was playing with a puzzle so to speak...so I broke my normal flow just to experiment. You can read it by question, or by stanza and it differs in meaning. I generally write to rap, so most of my pieces are actually read very fast and almost like slams. In someways Its meant to really provoke thought and make the reader return, so they personalize and it can reveal something new each read. Apparently two of those stanzas stuck together and should be separate. LOL I apologize, I proofed it and must have missed my spacing error. Wonderful comments thank you so much.

I read your poem through three times: first, for the thrill of the rhythm and clever word play; second, to unravel the meaning within the rhymes; and third, to really reflect on that meaning. Mesmerizing, compelling, and provocative! An...

I have read this poem so many times! It can be ingested in bits and pieces and as a whole plate of dinner at once... Word digestion. Cholesterol of the thought process. Occlusions. I would love to hear it spoken. Have you tried the audio aspect...

I have read this poem so many times! It can be ingested in bits and pieces and as a whole plate of dinner at once... Word digestion. Cholesterol of the thought process. Occlusions. I would love to hear it spoken. Have you tried the audio aspect of Hennen's? If you haven't would you please? I would love to highlight this piece of art. Thank-you for your contributions! Keep them coming!

wickedwahine, Hi! THank you so much for your comments, I am so glad you are enjoying it. I am releasing my new book High Tea with Alice very soon, so yes, I have been working towards a platform that would use both recording and video so people could hear them. I was unaware Hennens had this option so yes, I am happy to look into it for you and give it a shot. Give me few days so we can figure out how their audio program works. Thank you so much.
