Remnants of You

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

I try to make love to my husband,

While sheep jokes tell themselves in my head,

Remnants of you.

I take a blast from the peace pipe,

And my mind hits the ceiling, before the smoke does,

Remnants of you.

I see a sign that says "Best fish taco in the Islands",

And I want to jump out of my car, and take a picture of the "real" best fish taco,

Remnants of you.

This is a very evocative poem. The imagery and the structure is somewhat haunting. Good job.
