Lonely as I've ever been,

I crave the Nirvana,

That sits right between reality,

And the dark recesses of my mind.

That floating weightlessness,

That feeling of nothingness,

That blackened dustiness.

Lonely as I've ever been,

I spend my day seething with rage,

Growing farther and farther from compassion,

My rolling eyeballs breaking in their sockets.

That despised ugliness,

Trepidatious,

Dangerousness,

Lonely as I've ever been,

I sit in the dark and let myself break,

Tainted by homesick lovesongs,

And half-lived dreams, and a half felt life,

The uncertainty,

That's dwelling in me,

Makes me search desperately,

For that Nirvana.

Lonely as I've ever been.

Awesome poem, so heavy and heart felt, so very tangible and real. This poem encapulates the feelings of true poets everywhere. There's never enough light but plenty of darkness. Great poem my wicked one, great poem.

I agree with Vangoman. The line: "and half-lived dreams, and a half felt life" seem the most potent to me. They could really be their own poem.

Thanks guys It was good to have words "itching" to get on paper. In a sense I've been keeping the darkness in, afraid to let it be seen, for whatever stupid reason... and I didn't want this to be a "half writtten poem".
