Melting

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

I am the fierce furnace of fire

Stoked by my dedication of pleasure and desire

I am the secret each of us must beseech

With hair pinned back and black and sleek

I am a flight, a hot shot, and at your greatest loss I will speak

I am those special words in the nighttime you so fervently seek

The filaments of our life is so greatly underrated

A million miles of incandescent light has awaited

Our lips burn the mind churns and we become saturated

Can the keys keep from melting

As words begin smelting and are mated?

Everything everywhere churns

Mountains of words are mounting

Every syllable is so very astounding

The flesh of your fingers begin rounding

But you mustn’t stop- now that’s it’s finally your turn

And the wick of all words begin to burn

This is that moment we all yearned

We are a fierce furnace of fire

Here to spill our desires

Here to humbly learn

The craft of melting words
