There dwells in the bottom

Of the mind

Of the lower spine

The cell

The dirt hell

The life here

Its fear

And all the ever after’s

It’s real

Even after a skin peel

It remains

This human stain

And its pain

From canning the soul

Trying to travel back

Can’t pass and can’t stash

Away the darkest hole

The final sign

The pine, and

The seepage of the soul

I want not

To ever let it go

But to live and to give

A reason to have sown
