trusty datsun

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

i drove my cherry red datsun out to the golden dunes

i laid my colt 45 on the sand beside me

i stayed in the dusty desert with the clean air and a hazy mind

thinking of you, the you i just killed, its painful as much as i deserve

a life that started so innocent, now topped with fleeing broken hearts

all i have left of myself is a tan, my gun and my cherry red datsun

what is a man to do with himself but travel to a blazing desert

concerned about how easily swayed i am by all this good under the sun

i reflect upon the past, maybe too often but maybe i should more

all the death and sorrow followed by an ache to recast and mend

i stopped and traveled away, more like i ran to defend my personals

the desert is where i find myself botched up going mental

i got this beautiful cherry red datsun right here but a colt 45 too

the gun, the sun, all of my fun but i was compelled to pass it up to the desert
