As the city burns

I'm waiting for the moment, which may never come... at least I know I waited, and that is worth the every moment, I had waited on.

But tonight I'll burn the city down, for you and all the ghosts in town

That waited on the setting sun, the moment we were taken from.

Tonight I'll burn the city down, to ashes all and everyone.

A phoenix from my heart was born, from a screaming hymn, lovelorn…dipped in ash, and all residue of that temple it was cremated in.

Watch me burn the city down tonight, I'll spare you from the dying light

This is the moment I was raking, a spot of eternal for the taking.

Tonight I'll watch the dust plume the night, to ashes all and goodnight.

You never disappoint, There's a richness to the way you deliver a message. I hope for the sake of so many young writers, they get a chance to read and experience this feeling I get when read your work. I love the way you heat your words up before...

I love the way you heat your words up before releasing them in the sky above our heads. Thanks Raven-I feel much better now. I can't choose which one I like best, maybe this one.
