Blue Baby Bethany

 “Blue Baby Bethany”

That quick

Unassembled part,

Full skin of sun

Stretched out,

Unimaginable force-

Black shouts out

Faith transcends

The bait

The granite weight

Life pulls from the heart,

Sunburn stains

Translucently maimed

Christ in wake

God, friends, and him

The Saint

Take the wave girl

Wait can’t count

Turquoise friend

Waves begin and end

Life’s the current

Ride it out

Unarmed and charmed

Humane in faith

Caught in Gods smile

A blue mile of grace

Never say maybe

It’s out of place

Our blue baby

Has won her race

Dedicated to Hawaii’s Bethany Hamilton

Your story envelopes Faith and Courage

God bless you (He already has)
