Sweet Sweater Sweetheart

Star InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar InactiveStar Inactive

What a sweet sweater sweetheart

Especially the way the buttons fall apart

Should I talk to you with my mind and wit?

Or do you prefer the way the heart can split

Love we discovered in drive-in movies

Throwing tongue darts missing by fractions of lips

Dental scares dismissed for another awkward attempt

Then came that wafting, I was frightened I broke you

You bonerized me into epileptic fits of groans

You thought you’d broken me down to the bone

Decades later we’ve become closet degenerates

Love gators gnawing at the bit showing our wit

Try this you say in the heater of dark

I hear a candle lighter scratch for a spark

Candle fire-really? You can do much better I say

But then off comes your cloths, and off comes that sweater

And we laugh because after years I still feel I love you better

I love you better, without your sweet sweater sweetheart

Especially the way you let your buttons fall apart
